Having worked with websites and search engines since 1998 (my career is the same age as Google!), I’ve come across a multitude of issues and worked out the best way to solve them. Whether it’s technical, content or strategy, my expertise can help you find the right answer.

Training

I’ve been delivering training on digital marketing since 2001 and have written materials and presented to thousands of businesses on SEO, PPC, conversion optimisation, Google Analytics and web development. If you need a trainer, I’m your man!

Google Analytics

I’ve worked with Google Analytics since it was called Urchin. If you need your Analytics set up to gather data in a certain way or want to dig into your data for more insight, I’ll help you work out how to do it and advise on the best implementation.

E-commerce

As well as working with a whole host of e-commerce retailers, we also run our own (Coffee Tasting Club). From many years of experience, I can advise on ways to build your e-commerce business and how to exploit opportunities you might be missing.

About me
My Experience

I began my career in 1998, building websites and optimising for search engines. Since then, I’ve been deputy MD of a web development company, a freelance consultant and since 2010, a founding director of Boom. I’ve delivered training on digital marketing to thousands of businesses and have spoken on the subject to audiences of over 500 people.

 

With experience working with every size of company from start-ups to multi-nationals and across all sectors in B2B and B2C environments, I have the knowledge and insight to help any type of business make the most of digital marketing and the web.

My Interests

If I’m not staring at a screen, I’m likely to be doing something related to cars, sport or music. As a bit of a petrolhead, I enjoy regular track days around the country and of course watching various forms of motorsport (MotoGP being a particular favourite).

 

I’m in a band so playing or listening to music is a big part of my life; I’m likely to have a strong opinion on pretty much any band! To keep me active I play a bit of badminton and go cycling, but I’m no MAMIL (yet). At home, I have two great cats and a very talented fiancée who runs her own illustration business, all living in a 17th century house that is always presenting a challenge of some sort!
