Wanted: Front End Web Developer/Designer

Boom Online Marketing is a leading digital marketing agency in the East Midlands. The continued expansion of the business – along with developments in the industry has created a need for a middleweight front-end web designer.

 

The role involves supporting the graphic design team and SEO content teams in the production of Websites and digital content, specifically:

 

•      Front end website design

•      CMS management

•      Interactive content pieces

•      Web based internal reporting and management tools

•      HTML email marketing campaigns

•      Some other (non web) design work

 

Our clients span business-to-business and business-to-consumer sectors, from business lead generation to consumer e-commerce.

 

The ideal candidate will be an experienced front end web designer with passion for interactive web design and the creative streak to succeed in online marketing.

 

The role would suit a front-end designer looking to progress their career to an agency where they will be given more input and opportunity to flex their creative muscle.

 

Candidates are required to have the following:

•      Educated to a degree level in an appropriate (or a comparable level of industry experience).

•      3 Years minimum agency or significant, full-time freelance experience.

•      A strong, varied portfolio with plenty of digital based content.

•      A passion for UI/UX design.

•      Fluent with PHP, HTML, CSS, LESS/SASS, JS, JQuery.

•      Experience with HTML email design.

•      Knowledge of NodeJS & AngularJS.

•      Experience with git version control.

•      Fluent with Photoshop & Illustrator.

•      Experience with HTML animation (either by hand or adobe edge).

•      Ability to take briefs directly from clients and communicate as necessary.

•      Ability to work independently or as part of a team to deadlines and prioritise accordingly.

•      Ability to interpret and graphically represent data.

•      A desire to solve problems with ingenious design solutions.

•      An understanding of what makes online cultures tick.

 

Desirable skills include:

•      An understanding of SEO and CRO.

•      Knowledge of e-commerce design and what makes websites convert visits to sales.

•      Experience of HTML5 Ad design.
