Site audits are crucial for understanding your site and its performance. This will be the first task I perform for you and I will talk you through any findings so you understand why things need to be actioned.
In order to attract the audience you want, it’s important you know how to reach them. I will conduct extensive keyword research to find out exactly what your audience are searching for so you can base your marketing strategy around their needs.
I have written content for various audiences in a range of sectors. I have created both B2B and B2C content and worked with tone of voice documents and brand guidelines. I will help you create content that is not only easy to read and digest, but will resonate with your audience. I will base any content we create on SEO research and optimise it so it achieves effective results.
Having devised everything from newsletters and surveys to private client communications, I have the skills needed to create successful email marketing campaigns that will boast engagement. Bringing in new customers is crucial but customer retention is often neglected in the world of business.
Straight out of university, I took the plunge into an SEO graduate scheme with a leading sports retailer. Having no prior experience in digital marketing, just the transferable skills from my university degree, I read everything on the internet about SEO and managed to impress them by getting a topic they hadn’t been previously associated with to the top of Google. I was soon offered a full-time position and created and managed several successful SEO campaigns across their varied websites.
I then moved onto a new position with an up and coming digital marketing agency after moving to Nottingham. Employed as a digital marketing consultant I got to grips with more in depth technical SEO skills and helped a variety of clients from a range of industries increase their search visibility.
Before joining Boom, I worked in house at a large financial services company and looked after all of their digital marketing channels. I worked with an internal and external marketing agency to boast the success of the website, devised SEO strategies, controlled the PPC budget and account, plus I was charged with creating a variety of email marketing campaigns as well as looking after the social media channels. I was also heavily involved in the creation, implementation and analysis of their quarterly content marketing campaigns.
I have worked with various website platforms, all digital marketing channels and different audiences. I now look after several of my own clients at Boom, helping them improve their website traffic and boast conversions.
Outside of work you can often find me pushing my boundaries and throwing myself into new challenges. I’ve recently started running and I’ve got a habit of signing up to events completely out of my comfort zone and rocking up on the day with little to no preparation. Who else signs up to a half marathon after only running outside once before?
I like being active so I love going to the gym and swimming – which is handy because I spend the remaining hours of the day stuffing my face with any calorific food I can find.
On the rare occasion you find me inside the house, I’m probably either reading an entire book in one sitting or tapping furiously on my laptop while I update my blog. I have a love/hate relationship with my blog and it’s mirrored in my posting schedule. Some days you’ll get four posts at once but there are times when you might not see a post for four months.
