We have another new member of our team! We’re extremely happy to introduce our new Digital Marketing Apprentice, Rhea Walker.
Rhea started her career with the BBC, taking part in and completing a Social Media course. After finishing school with great marks Rhea decided not to take the college route but the apprenticeship route. Which she thought was much more fitted to her and her needs.
She has had a personal blog for two years which she uses to express her opinions on cultural and political affairs, about her experience throughout life so far and commenting from a youth perspective. Rhea enjoys spending time helping others and volunteering, she volunteered at a Horse Rescue Centre for a year while studying.
“I had been looking for the perfect Online Marking apprenticeship for a few months, I did get a few offers but none of those offers seemed to fit me personally. At Boom I can get stuck in, learn and work with the other people here while doing my course. They encourage creativity and playing to each person’s individual strengths which, is something I agree with fully.”
Our Director, Ian Lockwood, said “We’re really pleased to have Rhea join us. We interviewed a number of candidates and Rhea stood above the rest with her interest in the subject of digital marketing and her attitude to work and learning. She has been writing her own blog for a while and it’s clear she has the right approach to be successful in this industry. With such a skills shortage in our sector, we know it’s important to train people up and give them the right experience, as we can’t rely on finding experienced people from elsewhere every time we recruit.”
