Hi, I’m James Walsh,
Head of Design
I work on all aspects of web design, from concept to production. My team will discuss your needs, work out a solution for you and then build it - side by side with you.
It's important that the websites we build for clients will convert visits into sales. With my knowledge of user psychology I will ensure our team builds you a site that converts.
Using reviews of your design and user experience, I can help you and your in house team get the most out of your website – whether that is just a few small changes or a complete redesign.
With plenty of experience building successful content for our clients, the Boom team and I can help create stunning content that will get your company linked and mentioned all around the web.
I’ve been a practising designer since 2009. I started as a freelance designer and illustrator doing contract work for MultiMedia Projects – then working in-house for Loughborough Students Union. I’m now Head of Design at Boom, where I help our design and development team to see to the needs of our clients, with everything from ad design to full e-commerce website builds.
I also work closely with the SEO team with CRO consultancy and content marketing, and with the PPC team on product feeds and Ad design.
I’m slightly obsessed with tech of most sorts – which I think gels very well with my creative side and drove me down the path of a Graphic Designer. As such – after a hard days work I like to put my feet up and play some video games or watch a film on the big screen. I’m also partial to a game of squash or a good swim.
I don’t only enjoy making things at work, sometimes I put the computer down in favour of something a bit more conventional. In the summer months, when it’s nice outside, I love to make bits of furniture from discarded pallets and offcuts. I built my own arcade machine and I’m also an avid BBQ lover.
